21 Apr LinkedIn Might Be Adding Dedicated Video Feed
Get ready for some big changes on LinkedIn!
Last October, some smart folks noticed that more and more virtual events and videos were popping up on the platform. But finding them was tough unless you followed certain people. They predicted LinkedIn would create special feeds just for events and videos – and they were right!
Introducing the LinkedIn video tab
Yep, LinkedIn is testing out a cool new feature – a special video feed in the app. It’s kind of like TikTok, with videos filling the whole screen, all vertical-style.
This news came from experts like Austin Null, who shared pictures of the new feature. And LinkedIn confirmed it’s only a small test for now.
According to LinkedIn
“Videos are becoming super popular with our members. So, we’re trying out new ways to help people find interesting videos on LinkedIn.”
What does this mean? It means LinkedIn might be all about short videos soon.
But here’s the big question: Will there be enough fun and interesting business videos to watch every day?
LinkedIn will probably try to get famous users to make more videos. But will they be as good as everyone hopes? We’ll have to wait and see.
One thing’s for sure – there’s going to be a lot of videos about business success and motivation. And that’s cool, but will it be enough to fill up a whole video feed?
As younger people start using LinkedIn more, videos are becoming the way to go. They’re more engaging and keep you on the app longer. So, it makes sense for LinkedIn to try this out.
We’ll keep you posted on how this test goes. Stay tuned for more updates! And sign up for the Social Media Today newsletter to stay in the loop.
Whether LinkedIn goes all-in on videos or not, one thing’s clear – change is coming. And it’s only a matter of time before we all have that shiny new LinkedIn video tab!
